How about OREOs with your beer?

These decadent and indulgent beers will warm your soul

Happy Friday!

Lagerheads and beer purists, you might want to look the other way today. We have lots of decadent beers on the release list, with a range of adjuncts designed to celebrate the festive season. If you're the adventurous type or love bold and boozy winter beers, we've got you covered.

Meanwhile, congrats to Brave Brewing, which has taken over the spot formerly occupied by Bakery Brewing, which announced a temporary closure earlier this year as it transitioned to new management. Brave Brewing opened a week ago with a new beer list featuring a hazy IPA, a lager, and and amber lager. You can give the new brewery Instagram love here.

FEATURED NEW BEER RELEASES

6,000 OREOs

Superflux has paired with Brassneck to make a second version of Cookies and Cream, a beer made with 6,000 OREO cookies, no joke. A decadent treat clocking in at 11.8%, this should warm you up on a cold night. If the cookies weren't enough to entice you, how about the excessive levels of vanilla, lactose and chocolate? 🍪🥛

  • Available: In single cans at the brewery and online

Spiced Apple and Brandy

More of an apple pie person? Barnside has you covered with this new release that will have you tasting warm-baked apple pie. This limited release spiced apple brandy milk stout used the brewery's award-winning milk stout base recipe but takes it up a notch by aging it for 10 months in apple brandy bourbon barrels. You'll get cinnamon, apple, chocolate and apple pie in the nose. At 11.2%, this is another slow slipper to enjoy by the fire. 🍎🥧

  • Available: In bottles

Cherry Maple Vanilla Sour

Fresh off the canning line, this new release came out yesterday and Field House promises dark and tart cherries aromas and flavours. Loaded with maple, brown sugar and vanilla and a sour finish, this is all decadence. Compared to the releases above, it's also incredibly light at 6% 🍒

  • Available: In 4-packs and on tap in Abbotsford and Chilliwack and shipping out to stores.

A 2-Year Wait

Backcountry held back a portion of last year's barrel-aged stout and conditioned it for an extra year on heavy char barrels. With time comes a "beautiful rich complexity and velvety smooth mouthfeel," so good that the brewery says it's their favourite barrel-aged stouts to date.

  • Available: Single cans at the brewery and shipping out to stores in the Sea to Sky and Greater Vancouver Area.
