The Mother's Day Loop
Your Weekend Primer
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!
Here's hoping your loved ones give you the gift of good beer this weekend! To help with that, we have a proper lager from Field House Brewing, Mother's Day brunch at Patina, Beers and Flowers at The Beer Farmers, and a couple events to plan for next weekend.
Enjoy the weekend y'all!

What to drink this weekend
A Proper Lager
We've featured a fair number of sours and cocktail-inspired beers of late. This week we feel compelled to highlight lager for two reasons:
1. Lagers are delicious, especially as the weather warms.
2. They take a lot of care, precision, and time, to bring to market. And these beers have had a lot of hard work put into them.
This new "100 Day Pilsner" from Field House Brewing was lagered for 100 days. Why does that matter? The best lagers are lagered for an extended period of time, as it allows the beer to improve in taste, clear up, and become super quenchable. No shortcuts here, so we're excited to give this one a try!
Where to get it: At the brewery, in the brewery's retail store, and online.
Locations:
2281 W. Railway St, Abbotsford | Google Maps

What to do
Mother's Day Brunch
Mother's Day would be incomplete without brunch, yea? Wrong. It's incomplete without brunch and beer. So head on over to Patina (first come first served) to do it properly.

Menu: How about Smokehouse Bennie, or Corned Beef Hash? Maybe some Chicken and Waffles? Or Waffles and Whip? Vegetarian options available.

Spring Flower Show Garden
How about taking in the views of 30,000 daffodils and tulips from 25 varieties while enjoying beer on a family farm? If you can't make it this weekend, not to worry the show runs until the end of the month, every day of the week. The brewery is family-friendly, dog-friendly and is incredibly scenic.
Tickets: $5 donation per person
Dates: May 5-25
What to try: The Strawberry Saison (4.7% ABV) seems appropriate for the occasion.

Plan Ahead
Dageraad Anniversary Party
To celebrate its 8th anniversary, Dageraad is inviting @thenewshackletons to perform some rockabilly music. The brewery will also release three beers to mark the occasion

Art Show at ABC
After enjoying the sounds and tastes at Dageraad, why not venture east to extend the cultural experience with an art show? Another Beer Co is living its mantra, "beer imitates art" by showcasing artists in its flex space.
