Bakery Brewing
With so many breweries stacked one next to the other, Port Moody's Brewers' Row makes for the perfect brewery hopping experience. One of the places worth stopping into is Bakery Brewing which is always serving up fresh experiments.
Here's a review of our recent visit to the brewery:
Reason to visit the taproom: A beautiful tap room awaits you, with cozy booths that are equipped with electrical and USB outlets for all your charging needs. The bar area showcases the barrels that have a strong influence on many of the beers you'll enjoy. Some taprooms are purposefully beautiful and this one invites you to spend an extended session in comfort.
The beer: You come here to try the latest experiment on tap. Expect an adventure and expect to push your taste buds into new directions. While not every option will be a home run, we love the creative direction Bakery has taken, and love going along for the ride.
What to try: With the menu changing as frequently as it does, we'll limit our recommendation to a beer that is currently on the menu, and one we showcased in the new releases we shared on Tuesday: the cherry rosé sour. 🍒
Food: This being Brewers' Row, you'll have plenty of food truck options along the strip, especially on weekends.
Patio seating. The patio seats a comfortable number of patrons and feels integrated as part of the full experience at the brewery. Plus, those views...

Camp Beer Co.
With campground bookings up for Canada Day, if you haven't already reserved your campsite, you may have a tough time getting spot this weekend. We've got the next best thing: a trip to Camp Bee Co. in Langley. It offers everything you want from a camping trip, with none of the hassle.
Firepit? ✔️
Picnic Table? ✔️
Hot dogs topped with Kraft Dinner and ketchup chips? ✔️
Cold beer? ✔️
S'mores? ✔️
Outhouse? Better, washrooms with running water. ✔️
🍺 What to drink: Upstream Pale Ale is fermented with Kveik, a Norwegian yeast that brings citrus, tangerine, lemon, and grapefruit notes to the beer. Toss in West Coast hops and you've got the perfect campfire sipper.
Food options: You'll find a full kitchen at Camp Beer Co. with the type of comfort foods that pair well with beer, including nachos, hummus, warm pretzels, Bavarian smokies on a garlic buttered brioche bun (veggie dogs also available), baked potatoes, chili, and of course, s'mores.

Featured Brewery: Container Brewing
Reason to visit the taproom: It's gorgeous with bright colours, lots of wood, natural light, and a water station to keep you hydrated. The lounge on second floor invites long conversations with its relaxed vibes.
The beer: Container Brewing makes incredibly good beer with each new brew showcasing a twist on a style. It's the kind of place to enjoy an adventure in beer, knowing that everything you try will be delicious.
What to try: Container has a number of new releases out this week, including an Imperial (7%) Pilsner that sounds intriguing, but we love Cloud Theory—a hazy IPA on nitro. It pours beautifully with a super pillowy mouthfeel and wonderful hop flavours without the hop burn of many hazies. It's incredibly drinkable.
Resident Food Truck: Burdy is the brewery's resident food truck, offering delicious chicken/eggplant parmesan sandwiches, beer-battered fries, ceasar salad and a tiramisu made with stout.
Patio seating. While we love the taproom and upstairs lounge, if you're looking for a patio, Container has a large but intimate patio seating area— a destination brewery nestled within the city.
North Point Brewing
Sometimes you want to enjoy a beer in a bright space with lots of natural light, take in some views, enjoy the company of friends, and do so in the comfort of your perfectly designed dining room a beautifully designed taproom. North Point serves up that experience.
Reason to visit the taproom: It is wonderfully chill with cabin lounge vibes, including a second-floor penthouse. That feeling you have when you walk into a perfectly designed Airbnb Plus? Yeah, same feeling here. It's lovely on a sunny afternoon and makes for the perfect spot to enjoy a sunset, especially in the penthouse. If you're looking to chill, North Point is a good place to do it in.
The beer: While we've seen complaints that the beer list leans towards too many IPAs, when we visited recently the menu included a lager, a wheat beer, a couple sours, a blonde and three IPAs. The lagers were well-crafted and quenchable on a sunny afternoon.
What to try: Venture beyond the IPAs and give the lagers a try. If you're looking for flavour, the Banana Pancakes Hefe is a classic Hefeweizen with lots of (surprise!) banana flavour and enough balance to make it sessionable.
Food: Pre-made and heated pizza's from Nicli Antica Pizzeria, plus chips, salsa, pepperoni sticks, and candy.
Patio seating. You have two patio options - a lounge extension of the tap room, which can be covered in less-than-ideal weather conditions, as well as picnic tables with umbrellas on the street.
